TECC#41

Good morning! This is the card I made for the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #41. The Stamp is from Penny Black and the patterned paper is Me & my big ideas. The cardstock is all Stampin' Up and I colored this super cute snowman with Stampin' Up markers. I used a few snips of ribbon I had laying around and I think the snowflake brads are from Paper Studio - correct me if I'm wrong on that one. Thanks for looking! Have a great Monday!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #40

Since Halloween is over, that means it's time to start Christmas cards, right? At least that's what I keep telling myself. This is my card for the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. I have so many cupcake stamps, but I always find myself trying something else. I used this super cute retired Stampin' Up set called Song In Your Heart. I think these carolers are so sweet. And the lamp post is my favorite! I colored the carolers with copics. I used Stampin' Up bravo burgundy, always artichoke, whisper white and a little bit of cool caribbean. The patterned paper is Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding. There isn't any bling on this card, no glitter, no ribbon, no brads....just a plain & simple card. Thanks for looking.

I totally cased this card from Peauntbee. You can see it here . The paper is all Bazzil. I used my Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder on the pink parts. I also used my nesties to cut the rectangles. The stamps are all Stampin' Up, as well as the scallop punch. I colored the elephant with copics. Thanks for looking.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #39

This is my take on Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #39. I knew I wanted to use the Turkey Talk set, which makes this card very big! I forgot my list of supplies that I used at the house, so I'll update this tomorrow when I figure out what patterned paper I used. All of the other supplies are Stampin' Up. I used watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color the pilgrims and the turkey. Thanks for looking.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #38

This is my card for the Taylored Expressions cupcake challenge this week. All the cardstock is Stampin' Up . The card base is sahara sand, then I layered it with chocolate chip, riding hood red and whisper white. The felt flowers and brads in the center are also stampin up'. I used the 1 3/8, 1 1/2 and scallop punches. The stamp set is stampin' up and I colored it with copic markers. I used Basic Grey Infuse patterened paper and paper pieced the umbrella. This was such a fun sketch. It gave me a break from cutting paper for one of my 4 stamp -a - stacks! Thanks for looking.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #37

For this card, I used the new Stampin' Up patterned paper called Autumn Vine...I just think it's so pretty. These colors are some of my favorite combinations. The cardstock is really rust, more mustard, chocolate chip and sage shadow. The tree stamp is Inkadinkado which I stamped in Ranger Espresso ink and I left the name of the company that made the circle stamps at home, but as soon as I remember I'll post that. I also used the ranger ink to sponge the edges. All the circles were cut using my nestabilities and my cuttlebug- love that machine! Thanks for looking.

Harvest hello

This is the card I decided to use as my fall card. I don't know why I insist on aging cards that I need to make in bulk, but I do. When I was done making 25 of these I had ranger ink all over my fingers, but it's SO worth it. The cardstock is all Bazill, the patterned paper is My Mind's Eye. The harvest hello is from Stampin' up, the pumpkin stamp is from Inkadinkado, as well as the swirl on the top left. I colored the pumpkins with watercolor pencils and a blender pen. Thanks for looking. Happy Fall!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #36

For this cupcake challenge I used Stampin' up cardstock in so saffron, pink pirouette and whisper white. The patterned paper is Stampin' up parisian summer. I used the oval punch and the curly label punch. The stamps are from Hero Arts. I also used some crystal stickles on the hearts. I remembered to bring my camera to work, but forgot the cord so I couldn't upload it yesterday, so I'll have two posts today. Thanks for looking

A Muse 2008 - 2009 Calendar

I don't have a card to post today, but I wanted to share something with all of you. If you visit the A Muse website , you can purchase a downloadable 16 month calendar. These are great for a desktop to remind you of all those important dates. You can really do some fun stuff with these calendars. Here's the best part: 100% of all the proceeds will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! Isn't that wonderful. This really means a lot to me personally because I lost a dear friend to Leukemia 2 years ago. Lisa was the most talented card maker/scrapbooker I've ever met, not to mention a wonderful friend and I was honored to know her. She fought a hard battle with Leukemia and we lost her too soon. She would have been 37 this year. So as soon as I heard about the calendars that you can purchase with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, I got online and made my donation and got the downloadable calendar, and I urge all of you to do the same. There are three levels of donations you can make. The first level is $4, and you can receive this great calendar to decorate, and help a wonderful cause. Thanks for reading.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #32

Don't you just love the look on the faces of these reindeer? Friday night my friend Renee and her neice Taylor came over and I was trying to come up with my idea for the cupcake challenge this week. Taylor immediately thought of these reindeer. She also thought it would be cute if they were wearing matching sweaters, so I got out my water pen and reinkers and she went to town. I think she did a fabulous job. Taylor is 12 and so talented. She basically came up with this whole card and I pretty much just sat there and put it together. We used old olive, ruby red, baja breeze and the new dsp from Stampin' up. I used my spellbinder dies to make the circles and the stamp set is Holiday Lineup from Stampin' Up. Thanks for looking, and thanks to Taylor for helping me with the challenge.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #31

Well, I missed it again. I worked on my card this weekend for the Taylored Expressions cupcake challenge and left my camera at work, and since yesterday was a holiday, I didn't get to post my card. Better late than never I suppose. I used Stampin' Up basic black, whisper white, baja breeze and pink pirouette. The patterned paper is from Miss Elizabeths which I picked up at the dollar store - SWEET! The stamp set is from Hero Arts . The "frosting" is made from felt flowers from Stampin' Up with black brads. I also used my divine swirls embossing folder cuttlebug . I love that machine! Thanks for looking!

Hoppy Birthday

Tomorrow is my nephew's 7th birthday! Happy birthday Preston! I wanted to use the Boatloads of Love stamp set for him, but couldn't find it anywhere. My stamps are quite unorganized at the moment. I really don't have too many sets that can be used for a 7 year old boy, so I pulled out the frog. Everything on this card is from stampin' up, the patterned paper is Maine Blueberry, and I colored it with Copics. I had to used my stardust stickles on the dragonfly and the crown....I just love that stuff! Thanks for looking.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #30

I missed work yesterday, so I didn't get a chance to sumbit my card for the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge , but since I made the card I decided to post it anyway. I started with bravo burgundy cardstock from Stampin' up, and this cute new patterned paper from them called parisian summer...I just love it. The cupcake image is from Hero Arts, and it really needed a cherry on top so I added one. I colored it with my Copics, and paper pieced the wrapper. I finished it all off with cystral effects on the cherry, and startdust stickles on the frosting. Thanks for looking.

Bodacious Flower

This card was made using all stampin' up products. This is one of my favorite stamp sets called Bodacious Bouquet. It's retired now, but that doesn't mean much to me :) The colors are soft sky and old olive. I used an old olive felt flower for the center. Thanks for looking.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #29

For this weeks cupcake challenge, I went with a snowflake card instead of cupcakes. Can you tell I'm ready for summer to be over? The patterned paper is from Miss Elizabeth's, and I found it at the dollar store - can you believe that? What a score that was. It came in a pack of 6 with some other great designs. You never know what you're gonna find at the dollar store. I used Stampin' up's pacific point, bathful blue and whisper white, along with the 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punches. I also used the snowflake punch. The stamp sets I used were snow flurries and glad tidings. I popped up the snowflakes with pop up glue dots and used my Spica glitter pen for some shine. Thanks for looking!

That's a huge flower!

When I showed my huband, Charlie, this card last night, the only thing he said was, wow, that's a huge flower, so that's the title of today's post. The flower is from Prima, the button is from a local craft store and the rest is Stampin' Up. Be sure you check out the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge today and participate. Her challenges are so much fun! Thanks for looking. Have a great weekend.

Baby Shower

Good morning. Today I'm posting an invitation I made for a baby shower a few months ago. The bear is from Stampin' Up. I colored him with watercolor pencils. Both ribbons are Martha Stewart. The patterned paper was purchased at a local craft store, but for the life of me, I can't remember who made it. As soon as I do, I'll update the post. Thanks for looking!

The new catalog is here!

The new Stampin' Up catalog is here and it's fabulous. There are so many wonderful new sets and all of the new ones are die cut, which means no more cutting out the image before you mount it! There is also a technique tutorial at the beginning of each section, which is really nice. To see the catalog online click here. I've already ordered more then I'll admit, but I'm so excited to play with all my new stuff when it arrives.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #28

For this card I used the Stampin up' set Autumn Harvest. The cardstock is Stampin' Up and the patterned paper is from Me and My Big Ideas. I colored the image with copics, and used ribbon from my stock. Thanks for looking.

Is it fall yet?

I know I'm really jumping the gun here, but it's already August which means the summer is almost over, and fall is right around the corner. Fall is my favorite time of year and here in New Mexico, it doesn't last long. We pretty much go from summer to winter, with a few weeks of autumn in between. So I decided to start thinking about it a little early. This stamp set is called Falling For You from MFT. All the paper is from Stampin' Up. Ink is from Ranger. I colored the image with Prisma pencils and OMS. The saying at the top is from Rosie's Roadshow. Leaves are from A Chemistry With Paper. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for looking.

Pepper

This is Pepper. She's the only one of the bunch that sat still long enough for me to get a picture of her. She answers to Peepers, and Pepperoni. She's also the oddball of the bunch. In a house full of cocker spaniels, she really stands out.

Sock it to me!

This is the new sock monkey stamp set from Stampin' Up called Sock Monkey. This is my very first post so let me know if you enjoy it or not -- sock it to me (gently). I used all Stampin' Up products, except for the ribbon which is from a local craft store. I used the canvas background stamp and paper pieced the monkey with the new Riding Hood Red and Sahara Sand. The patterned paper is Christmas paper from last years catalog. Thanks for looking.
